She is a respected leader, with a broad base of education and experience, and the ability to communicate with diverse groups.

She has expertise in leading programs and cross-functional teams, driving decision-making, solving problems and developing strategies for projects and portfolios. She is also skilled in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and programs for potential in-licensing, including assessments of general therapeutic and business value and determination of strategic fit. She also has experience in developing materials and presentations for the out-licensing of technologies and programs.

I am committed to linking science and the business of science, and ensuring productive communication between the groups that work in these areas. I seek creative solutions and novel ideas and a good challenge. I am also committed to the future of healthcare and the drug discovery/development industry. I have seen the biotechnology industry evolve and am now seeing the next evolution, which must integrate global healthcare policies and economics with the activities we begin at the bench, complete at the bedside and debate in the boardroom. I understand that the projects and programs we begin today will take years to come to fruition and we must think about the landscape of the future when think about how we will prosecute these programs, in order for them to successfully contribute to healthcare and our businesses. Simply put, I want to help drive the development of better therapies and healthcare, while helping companies grow in a competitive way, and in a relevant timeframe.”

She received B.S. in Biology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Worcester. She has also completed business courses at the University of California Extension in Berkeley, CA, as well as many professional development courses.
